What’s it all About?
This software has been designed to edit the inf file for the downloaded Xbox 360 Accessories Software. This task can be done manually but to make things a little easier for people, I’ve made this software to unpack the downloaded driver software edit the inf file, then display the directory of the edited files and the device manager so the user can then update their Control Driver.
What Devices Will it work on?
This software has been made with the 3rd Party Rock Candy Controls in mind, it was made apparent to me that some just don’t sync with the driver. This is not to say that the methods nor this software will fail you if you’re not using a Rock Candy, I have been given feedback that the methods work for other 3rd Party Controls. Mind you this software will only automatically pick up Rock Candy Controls Plugged in (sometimes :P).
So What's the System Requirements?
This Software was built on the .Net 4 framework so the only problems i see is for XP users and people not running windows, Sorry guys. Also this method has not been tested on Win8 mainly because i don’t like it, but give your feedback if it works or not it would be interesting to know. If for some reason you get errors talking about DLLs let us know. (Links Further near bottom), and I’ll get on updating and fixing the issue.
So How Does It Work?
#1 Download Xbox 360 Accessories Software (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-au/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows).
#2 Plug in Controller.
#3 Follow Software Instructions.
#4 Update Controllers Driver.
If you don’t trust random software off the internet that’s fine here is the original method I posted so you may fix the problem yourself manually.
